“Cara Morey is a proven winner, leader, and icon in the world of women's hockey. The impact she has had on her program is so remarkable it has made waves within a coaching community at Princeton that includes more NCAA champions than most BCS programs let alone Ivy ones. Coach Morey's direct and powerful approach to leadership is not only effective, it’s so universal. It transcends sport, gender, age, level, and even discipline. Recently coach Morey was gracious enough to give a private talk on leadership and motivation to our men's volleyball team. After weeks upon weeks of zoom calls, meetings, and speeches, the guys came alive listening to coach Morey speak. She speaks from the heart, from her vast experiences, and with a sincerity and directness that all of our players and staff found refreshingly relatable and genuine. Our team left that meeting feeling energized and inspired to find ways to add value to our program and to fight against all the traps that pull against team cohesion and togetherness. Coach Morey is very generous with her time and we cannot thank her enough for helping to make us better.
